 Nuyorican Rule is a comedy troupe that bases its humor on the urban, social, political and familial Latino experience. Although sometimes representing controversial issues, the troupe strives to make its audience relate to the material as much as possible. Nuyorican Rule attempts to dispel negative Latino myths by presenting an alternative to the usual stereotypes. Each member brings a unique and colorful perspective to the creative process, allowing Nuyorican Rule to highlight a spectrum of viewpoints and backgrounds throughout the course of a show.
Nuyorican Rule has performed in a wide range of venues that capture a broad scope of demographics; from being featured on NBC’s "SHOWTIME AT THE APOLLO" to METRO TV’s “NEW JOKE CITY”. They have also been featured on FOX’s "Good Day New York",
 Although comedy is the troupe's primary objective, Nuyorican Rule also opens the door for an array of Latino talent by including guest performances in other mediums such as music, poetry, and dance. Through a celebration of their culture and heritage, Nuyorican Rule fosters an appreciation for a vast range of Latino talent. |
